PRENATAL YOGA

Pregnancy can be a time of extreme emotions; excitement, nervousness, fear, and exhaustion, are just a few.

These and our busy lifestyles can put us in "flight or fight" and this can make it hard to sleep, it increases tension in our pelvic floor, and it can lower our threshold to pain.

Prenatal yoga has been found to increase the duration of our sleep and to increase our heart rate variability. This is a measure of how resilient our nervous system is and how well we can regulate our body. PMID: 30019537

Whether you're in "flight or fight" or not, yoga is a wonderful way to regulate your nervous system and get longer sleep!
